A project to illustrate a children’s poem.

The characters are be introduced over 4 pages, including spot illustrations and spreads. 

These are digital illustrations to enable editing flexibility, however they retain a traditional media feel by keeping the artwork loose and natural.

Neep Carving – All Hallows

Neeps! – what are they? If you don’t live in Scotland you probably call them turnips. Neep carving is hard! They are much tougher than the pumpkins we carve today. I’ve taken a bit of artistic licence for the second illustration because turnips are not gooey like pumpkins.
